What is LINET?

LINET is a Medicare program that provides prescription coverage right away for Medicare beneficiaries who have limited income and no prescription drug coverage. LINET stands for Limited Income Newly Eligible Transition. The program is administered by Humana. LINET is temporary, usually for 1 to 2 months, providing you the opportunity to choose your own plan.

How do I enroll?

If you ARE Dual Eligible* you to not have to do anything. You are already enrolled in LINET.

You should get a letter from CMS letting you know you are eligible for Medicare Part D Low Income Subsidy (LIS/Extra Help) and are enrolled in LINET. The letter will be on purple paper.

If you ARE NOT Dual Eligible, or you applied for Medicare Part D Low Income Subsidy directly, you can enroll in LINET at your pharmacy:

Take your prescription and Medicare ID card to your pharmacy

Ask your pharmacist to submit your claim to LINET using
